This is such a simple idea and it works. On my first clamp, I secured the tip way too tight but was pleasantly surprised to see no indentation marks on the cue.

cue clamp
By rickey from mount vernon, texas on October 30, 2011

this clamp workes great on larger tips like 14mm some outher clamps wont fit the tip or go all the way down on the tip the only draw back is with smaller shafts12.75mm and down the clamp is to big and wont put presser on the shaft and hold the tip in place.if your going to be puting outher tips on your going to need more than one clamp anyways.the porpers pocket pal tip clamp will do all the smaller tips 13mm to11mm works great wont dent shaft .
I would recommend this item to a friend.

By leland from Chico, CA on September 19, 2011

Cheap piece of aluminum. Harsh on the shaft, will make dings. As far as "clamping", I honestly don't believe it provides more pressure on the tip than standing it up in a corner "old school style" does. Wouldn't buy another, wouldn't recommend. Pretty disappointed.

Effective.
By Scott from Vermont on June 11, 2011

Works and for a buck-and-a-half. A caveat: do protect your shaft with a few wraps of tape before setting, or there is potential for minor damage.
I would recommend this item to a friend.
Cheap for a reason.
By Andrew from Newnan, GA on May 4, 2011

I owned one of these and it didn't fit any of my cues. Left indentations in the shafts. Would probably work better with rubber band. I have since purchased the Tiger Insta glue and it works way better than ordinary tip cement. I don't even need a tip clamp with that stuff. No point in wasting money on this thing.
Well.... for a buck fifty....
By KBinc from Abq NM on March 18, 2011

Inexpensive clamp that does what it was made for. Well, the second one, anyway. First one was an incomplete casting.... 1/2" short and no right angle that would go against tip when gluing. Not broken off... just an incomplete aluminum casting. Not really an Ozone fault, but someone had to handle it to include it in my order. Of course it was probably handled at the factory to be put in the clear bag also. Replacement (after we had a chuckle about it} was sent USPS Priority mail mucho pronto.
I would recommend this item to a friend.

cue tip clamp
By Larry from Riverton, IL on January 11, 2011

the clamp I got was not flat with the tip and did not apply pressure the way it is supposed to. I think it can be fixed with a small piece of rubber most important part is to apply pressure evenly
gets the job done -
By Pete from Nashville Tn on December 20, 2010

This clamp does work, but I would not get this clamp too tight on the cue shaft for fear of scratching the shaft. Some sort of padding (I used duct tape) to eliminate the problem is called for. Practice on an old cue before using on expensive cue.
I would recommend this item to a friend.
Good, Inexpensive Clamp
By Jonathan from East Windsor, NJ on December 15, 2010

Gets the job done for re-tipping, but you need to make sure you don't put too much pressure on your cue shaft - otherwise it will leave dents.
I would recommend this item to a friend.
You get what you pay for
By Adam from Ashley, PA on November 29, 2010

I ordered this clamp because it was cheap and looked easy to use. The clamp didn't really fit all that way over my Cuetec break cue, so I had to jimmy the ring over the shaft. Unfortunately, the clamp ended up putting 2 fair nicks in my shaft which I had to sand out. Overall, the Tweeten clamp is probably worth spending the few extra bucks on to ensure shaft integrity/safety.
Cue Clamp!
By Will from Chicago, Illinois on November 28, 2010

If you are looking for a cue clamp, this is the one you should pick! Very good!

Cue clamp
By John W. from Michigan on November 11, 2010

This works. I bought it to carry in my case for emergencies. I ground down the "wings" and added a bit of thin rubber over them so as not to dent the shaft. Price is right too.
I would recommend this item to a friend.
Not a good clamp
By wei shen from ann arbor, MI on October 28, 2010

You get what you paid for. The clamp leaves marks on your shafts. You don't wanna use it on any expensive shafts.

Great price !!!

Very handy device every pool player should have.
By Keith from Reno, Nv on October 6, 2010

A very simple and economical device to help you repair cue tips after you or your kids have attempted an ill advised shot that knocked off the tip of your cue. It is simple to use and costs less than two dollars and will last forever---so how can you lose and unless you would rather hold the cue tip in place while the glue dries, a clamp is the only way to go. Store it with your glue and extra cue tips in a ziploc in the refrigerator and you will never be caught unprepared. Yeah, I know, you meant for that cue tip to pop off.
I would recommend this item to a friend.

Clamps
By Gene from New York on August 10, 2010

Works as described. Someone did mention on a larger diameter clue stick, the clamp may not work. I have not problems with most of my clus sticks, just one of them the clamp just made it over the tip.
I would recommend this item to a friend.
scrach or mark on the shaft.
By l saldate from Douglas Az on August 1, 2010

Two of my cues got a mark when the clamp was slightly or firmly aplly.

Awesome handy tool
By Daniel from California on May 28, 2010

this cue clamp is awesome. I replaced the tip on my shorty cue and this is what i used to hold it together; along with the cement, a burnisher, and a shaper/tacker my stick was ready for some playin!
Cue clamp
By Brian Smith from McMInnville, Oregon on April 21, 2010

Bought this for a friend, said he loves it, very sturdy and does not have to worry about it breaking like those plastic ones will.
Not all that good
By Darrel from Atlanta,Ga. on April 14, 2010

If you have cheap cues it works ok but if you have higher end cues the clamp doesn't work on the larger sizes and will leave indention's if you try to use it.
like it. it works
By kenneth on April 8, 2010

Nice, but be careful.
By Mauro from Turin, Italy on April 1, 2010

It can damage the shaft if the edges are sharp, do not press too much.
Very practical and a 'must have'
By BC pool guy from Boulder Creek, Ca on December 25, 2009

This was a 'must have' since I replace and dress my own cue tips when they wear out. I was using much larger clamps that were for other types of gluing projects, but 'they worked' - just not very easily or efficiently. Now I have the proper clamp to 'do the job' and I couldn't be happier. I'm so glad 'Santa' (my wife) included this little gem with my gifts.
Bad product
By Logan from VA on October 1, 2009

Didn't fit my shaft so I can't even use it and the edges are sharp and can damage the shaft.
Excellent
By Robert Mills from Millsboro, De on September 27, 2009

It worked fine and the tip I applied is holding great.
I would recommend this item to a friend.
Looks nice, but...
By Neunerball on October 19, 2008

A simple rubber band will do the same. without leaving those nasty dents in the shaft.
