Excellent Tip Glaze Remover
By DR Mann from Mukwonago, WI on December 31, 2010
Have you ever been in a bar wanting to play a game of pool, look for a bar que with a useable tip, and find that all of them have glazed tips? Glazed to the point that they will not accept chalk! In my case it is an all to often event so I carry one of these Hexagon Tip Shaper/Tacker in my pocket at all times. The shaper side of this unit will remove the glaze and rough the tip to the point you can use that english you love to play. The unit is 1” hex by .5” height, about the size of six stacked quarters, so it fits in the pocket well. If you always strike the que ball at dead center and do not know what english is, you do not need one of these. If you do play bar pool, use a bar que, and know what english is, spend a some money and buy one. Oh, by the way, it will work on your que too!

Perfect convex tip edges
By DR Mann from Mukwonago, WI on December 15, 2010
The shape of the tip is dependent on how you shoot. If you use english you need convex tip edges. This tool will shape the edges allowing the correct off center surface contact on the cue ball. The down side is the cutting edges will ware out, I have probably had ten by now, but I keep buying them because they work and fit in the pocket well.

Hex Tip shaper / Tip Pick
By Mike Vitale from Detroit area on April 19, 2010
Shaper side works very good because it's not too aggressive, pick side makes too large of pick holes and can distort the tip if you hit or press too hard.
