This tool works great if you use a 13mm tip as it stated in the description. Any bigger tips then this tool is useless. Would only recommend this tool if you have a bunch of 13mm tips to replace.

I have used several tip replacement tools and find that this one is the best so far. It is great for installing a tip that has broke off due to bad glue or other reasons. It firmly holds the tip in center over the shaft until the glue sets. Very easy to use and remove after tip is installed. It is much better than the other Joe Porper tip clamp. I did not give it five stars because when the clamp ring is pulled down to lock in placed it dented my shaft. The issue is easily corrected by rounding the edges of the inside curve at the open end, so a round edge is pressed to shaft. Great product with good construction should last a long time.

This tool is effective but requires the tip to be the correct size. It sits flush on the cue so the tip will be flush on one side.

The problem with this tip clamp is that it does not except all tip sizes. I buy 13mm tips and they do not fit in the clamp. If they do not fit in the clamp properly, the clamp is useless.
