The new Kamui Black tips are here!, more durable and  plays better than the other tips around the game. These are made of 10 layers of specially selected pig skin and have a a moisture proof tannin process giving the tip a black color and making it humidity resistant. This process does not interfere with the porosity of the tip and it adds more elasticity while protecting it from the environment. The Kamui Black tip will allow more spin on the cue ball without overexerting yourself and the same ability to grip onto the chalk which transfers to gripping the cue ball. Comes in 4 different grades: soft, super soft, medium, and hard. Available in 14mm size only.

Great Touch
By Damien from Birmingham, AL on February 20, 2014
I first tried the Medium tip, but instantly found it to be very hard and kept miscuing. Luckily I had ordered another cue that came with the Soft tip. I noticed more feel with it so I decided to have my cue re-tipped with the SuperSoft. Love it. Has much better contact with the ball, and feels much easier to put spin on the cue ball. Also been 3 months and it is still holding its shape fairly well. Next time I think I may get the SS Black Clear just because I liked the look of it and it is supposed to last longer.

Changed my aim
By Ronald from , on June 5, 2013
I have had problems with aiming since I put a Kamui SS on my 314 shaft. I was told that I had to much tip and that I should cut some more of it off for better control. I like the tip so far but I think it is a little to pricey.
Anyone know if I should cut this tip down that I would be more accurate in my shots? Please respond ASAP

great tip
By thomas from woodland, IL on May 21, 2013
to each his own on this one. I had it for half of last session and had to go back to a regular soft...it just doesnt hit solid enough for me, but it will spin the living $h!7 out of that cue ball....if that is what you are looking for in a tip

Amazing English
By Daniel from Owatonna, MN on April 29, 2013
First laminated tip I have tried. I did a great deal of research on tips, and being a soft touch player preferring very fast cloth, this tip allows great touch shots and still get great English. On a solid draw shot I can draw about a table and a half on a nine foot brunswick table.

I put alot of english on the cue ball, more than I should. The Kamui SS is the only tip I've found that allows me to use maximum english.

Am I nuts?
By jjenkjr from Gloucester, MA on February 1, 2013
I wondered if I was crazy to spend that much for a tip. I can say that I have only miscued once since the application about a month ago! I am 60 yrs old and have been playing since I was about 12. I am not the best player but not ashamed to play anywhere I go. Have a table in my "mancave, and teaching my 7 year old grandson to shoot now. I play daily so I think it was worth the money!

Excellent Control
By Jim from Rural Hall, NC on February 1, 2013
I've been shooting with this tip on my McDermott G-Core stick turned down to 12.5 mm for about 1 month now. Should have changed long ago. I'm getting better control of the cue ball with much less effort compared to the Everest Tiger medium I've been using for several years. Even with multiple HARD shots and severe english, to date have experienced zero mushrooming. Take some time to shape this tip to your preference and you'll be very pleased with the way your control improves.

Amazing tip!
By Joseph from , on June 23, 2012
This tip is amazing if you're looking for ultimate cue ball control at slow speeds. Works even better with Kamui chalk! I opted for Ozone Billiards tip change and they had my cue ready to go right out of the box! Dead even on the ferrule, from the factory smooth on the sides and the tip was even dime shaped to boot! (my preference) I will definitely be using this tip and option next time as well! Thank you Ozone Billiards!

One Great Tip!
By Stephen from Spring Grove, IL on April 29, 2012
Very nice tip! As someone who installs tips professionally and is also an avid player, I've tried a lot of the tips from LePro to Tiger Sniper, Triangle, Elkmaster, Kamui, Tiger Everest, etc. While the right tip choice can be a matter of personal preference, Moori and Kamui tie for first place in my opinion with Kamui coming out just a hair ahead. Medium hardness is often a very good choice for nine-ball players and more advanced players in general including players that play larger shapes becaue they play on 9 foot tables. Soft or super soft tips may be the better choice if you play mostly eight ball or only play on 7-8' tables because you have to play smaller shapes and use more shorter roughts. (Kamui's soft is much closer to a Morri's medium in hardness, I don't generally recommend Kamui Medium to players because it is closer to a hard tip and is too hard for typical players) Regardless of your choice be sure that when the tip is installed the edge of the tip is not burnished (as it typical practice with traditional tips) Layered tips should not be burnished, the heat is bad for the layers coming apart and forms a hardened surface at the edge of the tip reducing the performace of the tip at the edge for hitting extream english, draw, follow. Burnishing is not needed for layer tips as the layers make the tip much more resistant to mushrooming. Kamui specifically instructs that their tips not be burnished in their installation video.

Can't go wrong.
By Michael from New York, NY on March 23, 2012
My 3rd Kamui black tip...had med and soft and just got super soft and love it...does seem to add a measure of precision to my english and cue ball control.

I actually feel kamui is overpriced, ordered for friend, but have used personally and unsatified for price...

Excellent consistant hitting
By Ruben from Upland Ca on December 17, 2011
First time user. I found it to be an excellent tip. I am very happy with it. I did find that it is not all the big issue about putting it on the cue. While I found the 14mm too big for my cheap trimmer it was an easy fix as I used a file and worked the sides until it was perfect. Also it seems to hold its shape well. Then it is true it needs to be scuffed more often.

love the movability you have with the cue ball.

excellent tip
By Pete from Nashville on August 9, 2011
I installed this tip on a one piece cue I use at home on my table. These tips hold chalk well and allow for some serious english to be appled to the cue ball without miscues. So far there are no signs of mushrooming and I have been using this tip for several months now. I have bought another Kamui SS tip for my Meucci.

Kamui tips are some of the best on the market. Did you know that McDermott uses Kamui on their high end sticks?

Great English, BUT......
By YT PWR from Dallas, Georgia on May 22, 2011
....compresses quickly. Care should be taken when roughing. Kamui has special maintenance tool for their tips called the "Kamui Gator Grip". You Tube has a video on the use of it. Cost $29.95 on www.kamuitips.com. I am having to put the second S/S tip on in the last six months. I am ordering a "Gator Grip" from Kamui website.

Nice tip
By John from Michigan on April 17, 2011
I tried this tip after my Moori soft tip needed replacement. It is a good tip, but when the time comes I will go back to the Moori Soft tip. I just like the Moori a little better.

Superior to all others...
By Shawn Schmick from Hazleton, PA on October 27, 2010
When english is your name, and draw is your game, this is the tip for you. This is by far the most superior tip I've tried yet. Because of its super softness, this tip requires much more care than a standard tip, but it will by far out perform any other tip.

Kamui Black Super Soft
By Antonio from Long Beach, CA on April 12, 2010
When I was changing the tip on my cue, in the while I was working on it, I noticed that how already was really soft the KB Super Soft! After I start to play with this tip, I feel the soft hit! I'm really happy that I bought this tip. Everybody should try It. I'm thinking to buy a viking butt with a Predator shaft and KBSS Tip.

very nice tip

Exceptional tip!
By poolplayer32091 from Starke, FL on December 20, 2009
I use the Kamui Black Super Soft and it grips the cueball even if you play w/ extreme english. Holds chalk better than any other tip and retains it's shape. A very forgiving tip and worth it's weight in platinum!
