McDermott G Series Red Italian Pearl Rings Cue

I have played with a few McDermott Cues that my friend has and decided to step up my game with this. It plays great, however i am knocking off a star due to the finish detail. Beware that the pearl ring has a pink hue to it. NOT RED. Not a great thing for hanging with the guys on the weekends. I am sending this one back to trade for a different finish. Ozone is great for letting me do this.

This cue is my first but it is very solid and made very well. It hits very well and the tip is awesome.

The speed of delivery was surprising. I ordered on Wednesday and the cue arrived on Saturday. The cue is not only a thing of beauty, but the feel and quality of the cue are awesome. Great service by Ozone Billiards and they answered all of my questions before ordering.

The photos on the website do not do this cue justice. I purchased it because I wanted visitors to have a "house" cue with a G core shaft like I use so they couldn't say my cue was giving me an advantage. This is toward the lower end of cues that come with a G core shaft as standard equipment and not that much more than a shaft alone. I was stunned at how attractive it is. Not really all that "fancy" but very attractive.

I have recently started playing billiards on a TAP league with my husband, and this is my first cue. We were both impressed with the beauty and quality of it coming right out of the box. I especially like the Irish linen-wrapped handle, it feels great. The shaft is silky smooth and you don't feel the joint area at all, like on other cues. Our team captain (who is a pool instructor) liked it so much he actually asked to use it last Sunday. He says it handles like a much more expensive cue. My husband owns another brand cue that he purchased last November, and he is seriously considering selling his and buying a similar McDermott. I will ALWAYS keep this cue stick, it is already special to me.
