There's a reason Top Pros play with Stinger technology. By choice. Jump
Easier Break Harder Shoot More Accurate Play with Control
Jump/Break Like A Pro! The patented tip/ferrule technology. The tip features
a "stinger" that projects downward through a hole in the center of the
ferrule. On impact, the shock of the hit goes to the center of the tip, and then
down the stinger, transmitting the impact directly to the center of the shaft.
This results in a very efficient, very precise hit.
The enormous "sweet spot". Because the Stinger technology takes the
hit energy to the center of the shaft regardless of where you hit the tip, our
tip can be much flatter than typical break cues. The flatter profile causes the
Stinger tip to have a huge "sweet spot". You can miss-hit by quite a
bit and still get the result you intended. The Stinger NG01W Jump Break Cue Features:
Rosewood Handle with Maple Butt Plate 3/8 x 10 Main Joint with Phenolic Insert Black with White Specks Genuine Irish Linen Wrap Patented Shaft with Phenolic Tip

Great Break Stick By John from Largo, FL on March 6, 2013 First time I used it in 9 ball, I had 4 balls on the break. Next time 3 plus 9 ball. Enjoying this cue very much.
I would recommend this item to a friend. Great break cue! By Micah from Boise Idaho on October 2, 2012 This break was a birthday gift for a very close friend who is a great player. He loved it!!!! It is a beautiful stick and the balance is perfect.

I had previously purchased a cheaper phenolic breaker, but it miscued a lot. I mean, you had to hit perfectly dead center on the cue ball or you got nothing out of it. My shooting cue is a McDermott that I've had for over 10 years now, so I obviously trust the quality. I decided it made sense to pay for something that would work and last for years. I'm very glad I did.
This breaker really does have a huge sweet spot. Much more forgiving than the other cue I tried. It also makes a fantastic noise when you smash the heck out of the cue ball. I let the other members of my team try it last week and they all loved it. Good solid breaks, nicely spread balls, and most of us were able to get at least that one critical ball in off the break.
We won 3-0 in the last round of the playoffs, in case you were wondering. Was it the breaker? I don't know. But I'm sure going to stick with it.

McDermott Stinger Jump/Break Cue - Rosewood By Jim T from Newtown,CT on July 22, 2011 The first Stinger I ordered had no wrap on the butt, although it was another beauiiful cue made by McDermott, without the Irish Linen wrap the grip felt too small for me. So, I sent it back to Ozone and ordered the "MCNG04 McDermott Stinger Jump/Break Cue - Rosewood with the Irish Linen Wrap" & I also ordered the upgrade "AC24 Hard Case 2B/4S". The MCNG04 Cue is a 4 piece cue, it has an extra smaller butt, 13&3/4" long that can be attached to the shaft for jumping a ball, thus making the cue quite a bit shorter. I figured I'd be able to carry my McDermott shooter and my McDermott Jump/Break cues in the same case(my shooter has 2 shafts, 1 12mm & 1 13mm). I would still have 1 extra shaft holder open for the extra jump handle, but it did not fit in the opening nor did it fit in the long pouch on the front of the hard case. So, I sent it back to Ozone to exchange it for a "McDermott Hard Case - SC 2x4 - 2B/4S & 2 pockets", I was told that the Jump handle will fit in the long pouch on the front of the hard case. While I am waiting for the delivery of the McDermott Hard Case I am using my 2 older "1B/1S for each cue" they'll due for now. With this order I also purchased a "Moosehead Bridge Head(Portable)". I love the McDermott line of Pool Cues, the workmanship is outstanding on all of their products. The first time I used my new "MCNG04 McDermott Stinger Cue" it was great, my break has improved & I am getting a really good spread when I break. I am learning, its not how hard you can hit the balls, but how & were you hit the balls! Ozone Billiards gets a thumbs-up from me, they are the best to do business with, as my pool shooting progresses I will surely be buying any other accessories I need from them...
I would recommend this item to a friend. Love It By mike from Ft. Wayne, IN on March 11, 2011 Heard a lot about this stick and was very excited to try it out. Definitely was not dissappointed. When breaking there is such a noticable difference in contact, I couldn't believe it. I have never jumped before, but after a friend give me a few tips, I was jumping balls from about 6" away. the first night I actually made a couple shots, and the next time I used it I pocketed 4 or 5. Very impressed.
