It's become my favorite cue
By Frank from Jersey on April 2, 2014
I have bought a number of very reasonably priced cue sticks over the last several years from Ozone. I've been happy with them, but decided to spend a bit more on my last purchase---actually almost twice the price. I'm glad I did. It's my best cue now. It's very comfortable and balanced and my shooting has become more accurate since I've been using it---and I've had my own table for over 10 years.

Amazing Quality per Price Ratio
By Johnny from California on March 18, 2014
Plays better than some mid-level production cues for a third of the cost. Highly recommended to anyone looking for their first cue purchase or for any amateur player on a tight budget.

By adam from , on March 4, 2014
This is a great quality cue for the money. I'm not an expert so can't really describe it in technical terms, but the cue is straight and smooth.

At the time I bought it, Ozone had the best price of any online vendor I could find. Shipping was also fast and it came with a free soft case.

My game is so much better than when I was using house cue. Love this cue wished I had found this sooner. Some people couldn't believe this was a two piece cue.

Not what they used to be
By Trenton from Lake Charles, LA on January 30, 2014
I bought this stick because I had an old Cocobola Players Sneaky Pete that shot very solid for me over the years. This stick has not impressed me. I give it a 3 star due to the fact that I ordered an Elk Hide tip to go on it (just like I had on my old Players) and it could actually be that I just have a tip that just is not the same quality that I had before. Still, this is a good beginners stick.

Very Decent Cue For The Price
By "The Big John" from Aurora,CO. on January 23, 2014
I'm satisfied. I can't be too definite on what makes a good stick , as I've been playing for only 6 months after a nearly 40 year layoff. But stick is straight, balanced, solid and smooth. I find it a bit easier to get a straight stroke than with a good house cue. It suits my needs until I get a lot more consistent.

I Don't Even Think About this Cue
By Ken from Costa Rica on September 29, 2013
I've been an intermittent barroom and pool hall player for 40 years (during which time I've owned two cheap department store cues, although usually shot with whatever house cue was on hand). Recently I have taken a renewed interest in improving my game, so I wanted to try a better quality pool stick. Also, I'm one of those who wanted a Sneaky Pete less to hustle others than to avoid the embarrassment of losing badly with while holding a fancy pool stick.

Anyway, this stick has turned out to be great for me. Within 10 minutes of trying it out, I completely forgot about it, and that struck me is the best I could hope for from a cue stick. You know, with house cues I was always having to turn the stick in the direction I wanted the curve to be (and avoiding cues that curve in two different directions) and then repeatedly changing my cue in a frustrated search for one I liked better. This stick is straight, so I just forget about turning it to compensate for a warp. Also, although I have no idea about the engineering, lots of house cues as well as my department store cues have a flimsy feel to them. It's as if the wood is cracked internally. By contrast, this cue feels very solid to me (and even breaks well). At the same time, this cue seems to have a slightly thinner taper, which I like, and as far as I can tell the tip is fine for me. Not least, although a small thing for those who already own decent pool sticks, I was happy to be able to buy the weight I wanted. For some reason I gravitate toward a lighter stick, and these are often hard to find in bars and pool halls (or even in department stores). I ordered 18 ounces, though wondered if I might want even lighter than this, although it turned out that 18 ounces is perfect. Again, I don't even feel the weight so to speak with this stick, whereas I would often grumble about the logs I used to shoot with.

I'm sure that other companies make sticks this good in this price range. However, Players seemed to have a good reputation and I don't live in an area where I can try different sticks, so I took the risk to buy this cold. I am not disappointed.

Once again, serious players probably look for features that would be wasted on me, but for someone like me who just wants to get out of the frustration of shooting with house and department store cues, I can heartily recommend taking a look at this stick.

Of course, the downside is that I can no longer blame my mistakes on my cue stick. However, there is always something else to blame! More importantly, I've actually won both my sessions since buying this stick. I feel that my game has improved 10-20% simply because I have a stick that I like well enough to forget about while I focus on trying to make the shots and leaving the cue ball somewhere in the vicinity I would like it to be for my next shot.

Now it's only a matter of waiting for my new stick to get dirty and dinged up enough to fit in with the other house cues. It's actually pretty good-looking when new. Of course, if you aren't as prone to embarrassment as I am (or simply don't lose as badly as I sometimes do) you can probably get the same stick in a more intentionally attractive design.

Just as good as any stick...
By Michael from Lancaster, South Carolina on November 20, 2012
In 2003 I bought a 300.00 Viking and a 50.00 Sneaky Pete...I still have the Viking and I am now buying my fourth Sneaky Pete...When I started the APA, I was a 3 in ranking, now I am a 6 and still play with my Sneaky Pete from break to finish...I buy a new stick every couple of years only because the tip is so little and I am not going to pay 25.00 or more just for a new tip...So I buy a new SP cue and I am on my way...I play with this cue everywhere I have been...Vegas championships, the U.S. Amatuer and now the Masters...My Viking cue is still in the case with the same tip on it as in 2003...I've played with it (Viking) a couple of hundred of times and still find that my Sneaky Pete is still my best stick...Also my first SP my ex-girlfriend still uses it to break with in her APA matches each week and it is still going strong...Best stick for the money buy far...Would not give it up for any high price stick out there...Don't get me wrong, I am not saying if you offered me a 3000.00 stick I would not give you my Sneaky Pete on the spot...However I am saying I would go home and order me a BRAND NEW Sneaky Pete as soon as possible...

Great backup or player cue
By Chuck from Newburgh, NY on September 14, 2012
I am pleased with this cue - I had a Moori hard quick tip installed so that I could use it as a break stick and in a pinch I could use it as a player. All has worked well after about ten games the breaks are well dispersed and the tip holds chalk very well so I can get good english.

By Terry from , on April 20, 2012
I've seen other players using these, so when I decided to get a dedicated break cue I bought one. I played with it while I was getting some work done on my regular cue. In normal play this hits the balls pretty darn good. It's also working great as a break cue.

For 50 bucks it's hard to beat deal like this.

Quality stick regardless how much
By Rob Rhoades from NY on April 15, 2012
Its maiden voyage was to a gin mill where some bring sticks. My Muecci does not go to such places.
First two 8 ball brakes 2 balls went down, on the third the 8 dropped on the break.Funny ending that night these dudes showed up for some group match, one guy sitting in a booth eyeballing my stick, when I finnished my game I took the stick apart this guy jumped up in panic and started checking the house cues because until then he thought my cue was one. Heck Im still lmao.

These are quality sticks. From their finish to their touch, they feel like they're made of gold. I bought four of them in various weights, and my friends/family and I can have a great game going on. Great price. And I havent detected any warp in the sticks after a month

simply the best value
By hack from Cary, NC on June 23, 2011
I has Ozone put a Kamui Black (soft) tip on this cue, and it's the best $70 I've ever spent. These cues are dead straight and hit better than many pricier cues. I've let a few friends hit with this cue and none can believe I spent only $70 on it. Now all I have to do is get as good as this cue!

Also, Ozone's customer service was amazing.

Wonderful Cue
By Mario from Danville, VA on April 19, 2011
I bought this cue for a friend and he loves it. He says he has the control with this cue as he had with the high end cue sticks he owned in the past. This stick is wonderful in every way possible and AI would recommend this cue to anyone that loves pool and don't want to spend an arm and a leg for a stick..

I ordered this cue for one of my co-workers.We both love this cue.I was hesitant to tell him I had recieved it.This cue is amazing.A lot of people say the lepro tip needs to be changed.FALSE,You just need tip tool or tip shaper and to scuff or pick the tip.I had to buy the cocobola one so I would not copy my buddy.Buy this cue.You will be surprised.

Great affordable cue
By maxpwr from Washington St. on March 6, 2011
This is a fantastic cue that's great for breaking or regular playing. I use it for breaking a lot, but it holds up well for all types of shots. It's much better than a bar cue. Attractive dark colored wood and a light smooth feel. For the performance, I would use it in league games too. The main downside is that it looks identical to a bar cue. I left it sitting unattended in the pool hall, and some random guy picked it up and started using it and put a dent in the shaft within minutes... Keep a close an eye on it, and I would suggest getting your name put on it. Upgrade the tip to a Tiger Everest, and it's niiiiice.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Nice Sneaky Pete Cue
By Jonathan from , on November 29, 2010
I bought this cue stick purposely for breaking but instead of upgrading the tip to a phenolic, I had ozone put a tiger sniper instead. I use the cue for breaking and also to play especially in pool bars. I am really impressed with the balance and quality considering its price. Overall, a good stick for its price. Glad I had my name engraved in the butt because it was mistaken as a house cue in the billiards club once at the university. Thanks Ozone.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

great cue
By Erik from Augusta, GA on September 17, 2010
My first day shooting with it was just great. It has a solid hit and I just can't believe the price. I don't think I could have spent three time the money and got a better stick. Looks just like a bar cue but feels like something much greater. Now I'm off to the bar to make the rent money ;)

Ozone is great, what else can I say.

Surfer Dan's Crazy for It
By "Surfer Dan" from Austin, TX on August 6, 2010
Ordered Wednesday afternoon. Arrived Friday with the upgraded tip. Box damaged during shipping. Three bad indentions in the shaft. Some liquid to raise the wood and a little glass polishing fixed it in about an hour. Took it to the pool hall and just loved it. I have high end cues, but there is just something about the feel of a wood to wood joint. You just can't beat that stick especially for that price. If I could run racks with it, it's got to be good!

Well Worth It!
By jason from Booneville, Kentucky on January 26, 2010
I bought this cue to use in the bars instead of my high end and was very well surprised by the feel and performance of this cue, especially for the price I paid for it. It is suitable for breaking as well as precision shooting.

Great Cue for the money!
By Dave from Bozeman, Montana on January 3, 2010
This cue is well worth the cost, and it seems like I can play as well with it as my far-more-expensive cues.

solid and smooth
By Roger from Indianapolis on November 26, 2009
I ordered 19 oz., . I used it as a break cue, and really feels great so it's a keeper. Good impact, yet doesn't really feel that much different than the 19 oz. cue I have. Solid and worth the money.
Pros:
solid feel
good finish

Players cues are excellent!
You can spend easily spend $200 and get no better quality. I went ahead and purchased 4 of these for my house cues.

A real player!
By Pepper on June 5, 2009
I play withe higher-end cues, but I had the chance to use this cue a few weeks ago. This cue plays great for the money. Good hit, good control, decent quality. I would recommend this for house cues, and for league players up to the mid-level. You\'d have to spend nearly double the money to start finding better cues.
