Star Cues by McDermott - Blue Pearl Inlays

I got this as a birthday present from my mother, Not from this website but a local store that was out of stock..my order was placed on March 8th 2012 and I just got it today on the 28th. I've waited 20 days for this stick it was on Back Order at McDermott Cues in Wisconsin, That's why it took so long. The wait for it was hard and it made me upset but I was called up today to go pick it up. I walked in the lady said I was going to be impressed then she pulled the stick out of the package and I was. The stick its self I ordered is a 20 oz, I took the stick out of the wrapping and it appeared to glow blue and glisten in the sun, as if the Blue Pearl was 3D. The fit and finish is like no other! a few guys walked up to me in the store and said wow what a Stick! And I agreed. I've been telling people that I was getting a stick for the last 20 days. Besides that it is a pristine solid stick and very well balanced, The craftsmanship put into this $159 cue ( I paid $188 with a free case ) was as if it was treated like a $500 cue, who ever built mine put soul and effort into it...the pearl itself adds style and a classic look while the butt plate adds a aggressive look. All around its a simple design, but if you don't want alot of design and art on your stick and your simple like me but like beauty and simplicity this is a stick like that, you must not pass on it...they come in Red and white, shoots like a champ! I plan to put a black leather wrap and a I-3 McDermott shaft on it in the next few months! It was hard to find reviews on this stick so that's why I wrote this, enjoy and shoot on : )

The stick is beautiful if you're a fan of the '70s era triangle patterns or the color blue for that matter. The beautiful blue pearl inlays are so vibrant and deep that as you rotate the stick in the light they seem to be in 3D. The stick itself plays well. It doesn't feel like you're playing with a bar stick but of course it's no Balabushka LOL Either way, for the price it's a great intermediate stick.
