iT TAKES A LITTLE BIT OF PATIENCE AND A FEW MINUTES BUT USING THIS AND THE OTHER ONE TOGETHER TRULY FORM THESE PERFECTLY ROUNDED TOPS ON HARD SOFT AND MEDIUM TIPS THAT WERE DRIVING ME CRAZY BEFORE AND SHAVING DOWN THE HARDER 14MM TO 13 AND THEN HAVING TO GET THE BEAUTIFUL ROUNDED TIPS SEEMED OUT OF MY LEAGUE.
THE FACT THAT I DID'NT HAVE TO SPEND 60 DOLLARS TO GET A GREAT FINISH WITHOUT GOUGING MY TIP (SOFT TIPS ARE JUST SO HARD TO DO BECAUSE...WELL THEY ARE SOFT).
I HAVE BOTH THE DIME AND THE NICKLE AND FIND THAT BY ROTATING THE CUE TIP ON AND OFF BETWEEN BOTH I CAN REALLY CONTROL THE ANGLE AND ROUNDNESS.

Although I ordered this product elsewhere since it was out of stock on Ozone, I don't know how I used other shapers included in tools in the past. There is NOTHING better than the Willard Cue Tip Shaper, period.
The metal is brazed on, and it's not sandpaper, so it will last a long time. Also, it's durable and will hold up. The gauge on the side lets you know whether it's properly shaped or not. You'll be surprised how flat your tip is once you apply this shaper to it.

At first glance I was a bit optimistic about this tip shaper being any better than my plastic made in taiwan cheap-o shaper but the first time I put tip to shaper with this bad boy, made me a believer! This isn't some spray on glue, sand sprinkled shaper, the grit is some sort of metallic material and is made to last. It also shapes faster than any other shaper I've used probably do to the sharp edges of the grit. I'd highly recommend buying this if you're like me and like doing things right the first time.

I own the Cue Cube and the nickle tip shaper version of this product, however, the dime shaper is my personal favorite, yielding a beautiful dime shape to your cue tip, allowing for better use of english and draws, especially when using the right type of tip, such as a Kamui Black Medium or Tiger Sniper Tip. Great product. Does exactly what it says it does. The texture of the grit seem perfect for the job. Much better than the Ultimate Cue Tip Tool which I also have. Nice to have the gauge on the side too. I have a lathe for retipping and use the gauge to make sure the shape is correct.

I had just purchased a new stick.that came with the tip flat. I could not understand why it was so hard to use..unless I hit the cue ball dead center the ball would fly off in the wrong direction. I watched some videos on youtube that showed how the tip should be rounded like a dime. I decided to order a tip shaper as soon as possible.
I did a google to find a vender and came up with the web page of Ozone billiards. Ordering the product was easy and streightforward. The tool arrived in about 3 or 4 days. I immediately started using it to shape the tip if my new stick. It only took a few minutes for the teeth in the tool to make a perfect curve for the tip.

I was glad to see these this is the one type of shaper that was shown how to use back in the days when I was growing up and use to find in the pockets of the guys at the local HALLs...Now all my sticks are even and l don't have to worry about the shape at all really takes the guess work out of it. The Willard Cue Tip Shaper is the best one which I have used. All the others seem to wear out all too fast and if you insist upon a well shaped tip (and you should) this is the one to buy. This one seems to last forever and I purchased a couple for my friends.

This tool works great for shaping and smoothing the dime radius pool cue tip. If you have a newly replaced tip you may find it faster to use a Porper Cut-Rite Tip Shaper initially to get the rough shape. Then finish it off with the Willard Dime Radius Shaper.

The Willard shaper speaks for itself........it's legendary as a single shaping tool. Small, highly portable, and well made. The Shaper lasts a very long time and includes a gauge on the side to help get the perfect shape.

This all-metal tip shaper does a good job at shaping the cue tip to the "dime" radius of .358 inches. Best results are obtained when you clamp / secure this device in something solid & use two hands on the cue-stick to shape the tip evenly.

Sturdy shaping surface will not wear out. Took only a couple of minutes to shape a new tip to perfection. Would recomment dime vs nickle for better ball control. Well worth the money!!!!!!

This is the best buy for a tip shaper I have found. I used ultimates for a long time and would go to shape the tip and once again my sand paper would move along with the twirling of my shaft. This thing simply won't. I've had mine for a long time now and have had NO problems with it at all. Reshaped my tips several times and loaned it out a ton as well. It still cuts quick so doing a reshape in the middle of a match is no problem. Definately loved this purchase.

I love this thing for only $8. It does a good job of shaping your tip and gives you a guage so you can tell when it's done correctly. You can throw it in your cue case or put it on a key chain basically it's easy to carry around. Can't go wrong for the price.

Easily the best shaper on the market. The dime radius commands so much more cue ball control over the nickel radius, that I find it hard to believe anybody still uses that. The cutaway on the tool accurately gauges the size of your tip so you know exactly when it's finished. Only downside is (on a new tip) it takes a little while to get the shape. Could also be a bit more ergonomical.

Definitely the best shaper out there. The Cuetec Bowtie is good, but the Willard is much more exact. The "dime shape" works so much better for cue ball control than the traditional "nickel shape", that it surprises me that people still believe in that.

I had been using the Willard Cue tip Shaper- Nickel size for several months. I recently purchased the "dime-sized" shaper and I am glad I did. I've been using the nickle size of the Willard Tip Shaper for a few years and decided to try the dime size after re-tipping my cues with Moori hard tips. I now find that the dime size seems to fit my game better as I seem to get a better control of the English I use.
The one improvement I would like to see on the tool is the tip size either in words or letters ( "D" or "N") engraved (or stamped) on it so that it is easy to tell which tool is which size - presently they have the same marking on each tool.

It worked well when I first got it, but it developed flat spots inside that caused it to not shape the tip correctly after a short period of time (less than 6 months). I don't know if this particular one was defective, or if they all will have the abrasive surface rub away quickly. High ratings for the way it worked, low rating for how long it lasted.

I have always been hesitant to use my shaping tools because they only seemed to last one use. However, after using this tool and seeing no wear I immediately used it on 3 other cue tips. After wiping the dust you would never have know that it had even been used. I am glad to have a tool that will last a long time finely.

I keep a nickle shape, brad scuff, and now a dime shape on my key chain. I am very glad I purchased the dime. I have developed good cue ball control and a nickle just wasnt performing. The local billiard shop does not carry the willard dime so I am glad Ozone does.

As someone who has bought 2 willard tip shapers (nickels) in the past, I can vouch for this product 100%. The first one was so good that someone decided to steal it from me at the pool haul (if its a high theft item, its gotta be good).
This dime shaper allows you to get the right shape you want and with fairly good consistency. The guage on the side allows you to determine when you have the right curvature down.
A MUST HAVE IN YOUR CUE CASE
