American Cancer Society Event at Ozone Billiards
Breast Cancer Charity Event at Ozone Billiards Retail Store
Ozone Billiards held a charity event for Breast Cancer awareness on Saturday, October 25, 2014. The event was held at Ozone Billiards retail store located in Kennesaw, GA. Guinness World Record holder and professional pool player, Dave Pearson came out and attempted to break the speed pool world record at Ozone Billiards’ first Breast Cancer Awareness event. All proceeds earned were donated to help the fight against breast cancer and raise awareness in the community. In addition to the proceeds earned from this event, Ozone Billiards proudly donated more than $10,000 to the American Cancer Society.
Before Dave attempted to break the world record he performed a number of impressive trick shots and challenge matches. As one of the fastest pool players in the world, Dave has broken over 20 Guinness World Records, including 16,499 balls pocketed in 24hrs. Although his attempt to break his ten table record was very impressive, he did not get close enough to set a new world record. Pearson did sign and donate the cue he used at the event as the on-site raffle prize to help generate proceeds for the American Cancer Society.
In league with The American Cancer Society, Ozone Billiards has had a long standing relationship with the organization. In October of 2012, Ozone Billiards launched their first campaign to raise money for the Cancer Society by creating a cancer awareness page with 100% of the proceeds gained, to be donated to the American Cancer Society. For well over 100 years the American Cancer Society has tried to help people get well, find cures, and fight back against cancer. Ozone Billiards will continue to show their support to this great cause.
